julian Kim Vereen’s story did not begin with a business plan.
It began with a young man trying to find his way.
Early in life, Julian experienced the cycle of working, paying bills, and wondering whether there was something more ahead. He didn’t always have a clear map, but he carried a belief that God had more for him.
That belief kept him moving.
His mother, a business writer who believed in the importance of family and business, gave Julian another lasting example: dedication. He watched her put time, effort, and love into her dreams and learned that meaningful things require commitment.
Julian wanted to take that lesson further.
He developed a strong interest in business, but also in understanding how things work and how they could work better.
Over more than 20 years in the homebuilding industry, he developed his career from the field into quality assurance and leadership. He became a licensed home inspector, completed more than 10,000 inspections, worked through thousands of issues, and learned from countless homeowners, builders, contractors, and professionals.
Yet some of his greatest lessons came from people who were very different from him.
Julian has always had a thirst for knowledge. He believes there is something to learn from almost everyone, even when you don’t agree with everything about them.
He believes knowledge is power.
But knowledge shared becomes something more.
Shared knowledge is love.
And without wisdom, neither knowledge nor power reaches its full potential.
TECHNOLOGY AND THE FUTURE
Julian grew up during a remarkable technological transition.
He remembers a time when technology was limited, then watched computers, phones, corporate devices, the internet, social platforms, and eventually artificial intelligence become part of everyday life.
Social media never became his primary interest. Technology did. The difference matters.
Julian is less interested in filtered profiles and online attention than he is in technology’s ability to create meaningful relationships between people, information, businesses, and opportunity.
His interest in AI began through experimenting with GPT and developed into a broader realization: the future of business will increasingly depend on how intelligently people use technology.
Julian believes AI can eventually take on much of the repetitive work that consumes professional time:

Julian’s practical experience eventually became the foundation for entrepreneurship.

It created an opportunity to understand the relationships between homeowners, professionals, builders, contractors, information, and the decisions people have to make about their homes.
Over time, Julian began seeing a larger opportunity. The problem wasn’t always a lack of expertise.
Sometimes the problem was the distance between people and the knowledge they needed.

WHAT COMES NEXT
Julian is proud of what he has accomplished, but he does not consider his story complete.
At 47, he is beginning to think differently about freedom.
Freedom, to Julian, doesn’t mean never working again.
It means no longer being confined to one job, one schedule, one employer, or one definition of success.
After more than two decades in a career, he wants the ability to move around the United States, travel, take on different challenges, work on meaningful ideas, learn from new people, and experience life one day at a time.
He wants to build things that create freedom—not only for himself, but for the people who interact with what he creates.
Julian has learned that working hard matters.
But working smarter can make the journey more efficient.
And he believes dreams have a way of becoming real when you continue moving toward them.
He has a few dreams left.
