Facing the Mirror: My Weaknesses and the Opportunities They Create

When you’ve been in an industry as long as I have, you pick up skills, wins, and lessons. But if you’re paying attention, you also pick up something else — self-awareness.
I’ve learned that ignoring your weaknesses doesn’t make them disappear. It just makes them blind spots. And blind spots will wreck you if you’re not careful.
So here’s me being real about mine — and how I’m turning them into opportunities.
Weakness #1: Taking On Too Much Myself
I’m a natural leader, but I’ve also been guilty of trying to do it all.
From managing inspections to running my business to spearheading AI development, I’ve sometimes carried more than I should — not because I don’t trust others, but because I want things done right.
Opportunity: Learning to delegate with confidence.
By building strong teams and trusting their expertise, I can scale my vision faster — and give others room to shine.
Weakness #2: Perfectionism Under Pressure
In quality control, perfectionism is an asset — until it becomes a roadblock. I’ve caught myself overthinking small details when the bigger goal was already within reach.
Opportunity: Knowing when “excellent” is better than chasing “perfect.”
This shift lets me move projects forward without losing my standards.
Weakness #3: Delayed Self-Investment
I’ve poured time, money, and energy into my business, my career, and my clients… but sometimes I’ve put myself last.
Fitness, mental recharge, even celebrating wins — I’ve skipped them in the name of productivity.
Opportunity: Making personal health and growth non-negotiable.
When I invest in me, I bring more energy, clarity, and creativity to everything else.
Weakness #4: Resistance to Letting Go
I’ve held on to certain processes, clients, or even partnerships longer than I should — out of loyalty or belief in their potential.
Opportunity: Trusting my discernment to know when it’s time to close one door so a better one can open.
Weakness #5: Moving Slower on Big Ideas Than I’d Like
I see the big vision. I feel the urgency. But between a demanding career and multiple projects, some ideas have taken longer to launch than I wanted.
Opportunity: Prioritizing execution over perfection.
This is why ChatHomePro is a game changer for me — I’m pushing forward faster, bringing the idea to market, and letting it evolve in real time.
Final Thought
Weaknesses aren’t the enemy. In fact, they’re often just the raw material for our next breakthrough.
I’m not ashamed of mine — because each one holds an opportunity for growth, innovation, and better leadership.
I’ve spent nearly 20 years building in the home industry, and if there’s one thing I know, it’s this: the foundation is important, but so is the willingness to renovate yourself when needed.
